This documentary project aims to isolate the «human being» motif and faces disaster, the power of nature. On April 16, 2016, Ecuador suffered the greatest natural catastrophe in recent years, an earthquake of 7.8 degrees on the Richter scale hit the coast of our country, its tracks are still visible. Now the doors are meaningless, neither the carpets nor the furniture, the rooms look uninhabited, the land is for sale and migration increases, the shock of a ghost town is the urgent call towards a future without risks, the human lives that they were lost on this day, they are a cry to the future, the human being who, absorbed in progress, forgets the security and responsibility to build firm foundations and in this case materially, that may result in a catastrophe, the measures taken by the government to root of this event and the post-planning that does not remedy the facts, if it warned of a future of greater care. The photographs were taken to be uploaded gradually the days after the event so as not to forget (a custom rooted in the human being), if we are not aware of the responsibility we have to take care of each other, there is no point in «progressing».

Este Proyecto documental pretende un aislamiento del motivo «ser humano» y nos encara al desastre, al poder de la naturaleza. El 16 de Abril del 2016, Ecuador sufrió la mayor catástrofe natural de los últimos años, un terremoto de 7,8 grados en la escala de Richter golpeó a la costa de nuestro país, sus huellas aún son visibles. Ahora las puertas no tienen sentido, ni las alfombras, ni los muebles, los cuartos lucen deshabitados, los terrenos están en venta y la migración aumenta, el shock de una ciudad fantasma es la llamada urgente hacia un futuro sin riesgos, las vidas humanas que se perdieron en este día, son un grito al futuro, el ser humano que ensimismado con el progreso olvida la seguridad y la responsabilidad de construir bases firmes y en este caso materialmente, eso puede resultar en una catástrofe, las medidas tomadas por el gobierno a raiz de este suceso y la post-planificación que no remedia los hechos, si avisora un futuro de mayor cuidado. Las fotografías fueron tomadas para ser subidas paulatinamente el los días posteriores al suceso para no olvidar (costumbre arraigada en el ser humano), si no somos concientes de la responsabilidad que tenemos de cuidarnos unos a otros no tiene sentido «progresar».
